The kids and I made Mexican chocolate covered strawberries today in honor of Cinco de Mayo so they have decided to rename the day "Chocolate de Mayo." Loosely translated, this means "Mommy, come quick! I have chocolate all over my sweater!"
We mixed a bag of ghirardelli milk chocolate chips, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, melted the mixture in a double boiler and dipped strawberries in it. Oh my, yum with a kick. I bet they would taste great with an icy cold margarita.
Look! Charlie is eating a strawberry! It's a Cinco de Mayo miracle!
